Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Experience building or transforming HR functions in small to mid-sized organizations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and multi-state HR compliance.
• Experience developing HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and consulting skills.
• Ability to work independently and influence leaders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the company's current HR and payroll processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement foundational HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Assess payroll operations and recommend best practices for long-term success.
• Review onboarding, recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration.
• Partner with leadership to develop scalable HR processes that support future growth.
• Advise on organizational structure, workforce planning, and HR strategy.
• Support a growing, multi-state workforce while ensuring compliance with employment laws.
• Create recommendations for the long-term HR function and future staffing needs.
