Job summary

United Future in Cedarburg, WI is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the 2nd shift on the high‑pressure die casting line. You will perform first-piece, in‑process, and final inspections, verify GD&T, and document nonconformities to drive continuous improvement.

You will use CMM, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other metrology tools to confirm dimensional conformance, investigate defects, and support PPAP, LPAs, and ISO/IATF compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Quality/Manufacturing preferred.
• 2+ years of quality technician experience in HPDC or metal manufacturing.
• Must be able to read engineering drawings and GD&T and use precision measuring instruments.
• Must reside within 45 minutes of Cedarburg, WI and be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of die cast components to verify customer and engineering specifications.
• Use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM) to verify conformance.
• Detect and contain defects, issue NCMRs, and support containment activities.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering data to ensure GD&T compliance and dimensional accuracy.
• Drive root-cause investigations using 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto analyses.
• Support audits, PPAP, FAI inspections, capability studies, and gauge validations per ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.
