6 Degrees Search is hiring a Quality Control Technician for the 2nd shift in Cedarburg, WI. You will perform rigorous inspections on high-pressure die cast components, verify GD&T conformance, and participate in root-cause investigations to support continuous improvement.

The role requires 2+ years in HPDC or metal manufacturing, plus US work authorization and a 45-minute commuting radius to Cedarburg. Competitive hourly and yearly compensation with 401(k) match and bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality technician experience in high-pressure die casting or metal manufacturing.
• US work authorization required; must be fully authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg, WI.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of die cast components to verify customer and engineering specs.
• Verify conformance using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Identify and contain defects; issue NCMRs and lead containment activities.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, control plans, and work instructions.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions using 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto analyses.
• Participate in audits and PPAP activities in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
