Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Quality Control Technician for its Cedarburg, Wisconsin facility on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM). The role focuses on first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of high-pressure die cast components, ensuring GD&T conformance with CMM and hand tools.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in HPDC or metal manufacturing, be US authorized, and reside within 45 minutes of Cedarburg.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated career stability with a strict requirement of at least 2+ years of tenure at each previous employer.
• 2+ years of hands-on quality technician experience directly within high-pressure die casting (HPDC) or metal component manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications with a solid working knowledge of GD&T and precision measuring instruments.
• Must reside within a 45-minute maximum commute of the Cedarburg / Greater Milwaukee, WI area.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred. Must be US-authorized to work without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of die cast components to verify exact customer and engineering specifications.
• Verify product conformance using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Detect and contain defects such as porosity, cold shuts, flash, blisters, misruns, soldering, and cracks; issue NCMRs and lead containment.
• Review production against engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, control plans, and work instructions.
• Support root cause investigations using 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and Pareto Analysis.
• Complete LPAs, product audits, PPAP activities, FAI inspections, capability studies, and gauge validations per ISO 9001 & IATF 16949.
