Job summary

Ashton North LLC is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the 2nd shift in Cedarburg, WI. The role focuses on first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of high-pressure die cast components, using CMM and precision tools to verify GD&T conformance.

Candidates must have 2+ years HPDC quality experience, strong blueprint skills, US work authorization, and be willing to commute within 45 minutes of Cedarburg. ISO/IATF quality standards knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality technician experience in HPDC or metal component manufacturing.
• 2+ years of tenure at each previous employer, strict career stability.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
• Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg, WI area.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of die cast components to verify customer and engineering specs.
• Use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and CMM to verify conformance.
• Detect defects (porosity, cold shuts, flash, misruns, dimensional nonconformance); issue NCMRs and containment actions.
• Review production against drawings, GD&T requirements, control plans, and work instructions.
• Support root cause investigations using 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, Pareto Analysis.
• Assist with LPAs, product audits, PPAP, FAI, capability studies and gauge validations in ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 environments.
