Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Housing Navigator in Los Angeles, CA to develop and implement individualized housing plans for program participants. You will coordinate resources, identify housing opportunities, and accompany families to housing appointments to achieve stable housing.

Requirements include a BA/AA in human services with experience, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and a valid California driver’s license. HMIS experience and background check are preferred.

Qualifications

• BA in human services or AA with related experience.
• 2+ years of experience in human services; 4+ years if AA.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Valid Class C California Driver's License.
• Experience with HMIS is preferred; background check required.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strength-based case management and service coordination.
• Develop and implement housing plans to achieve stability.
• Identify and secure housing opportunities with landlords.
• Maintain housing records and participate in data reporting.
• Coordinate with external resources and referrals for clients.
• Ensure compliance with program policies and regulations.
• Assist families in housing applications and documentation.
