Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking an Interim Subsidy Case Manager to support Permanently Housed clients through housing stability planning, assessment, and ongoing case management. You will work with landlords to resolve issues and mediate tenancy, ensuring successful outcomes under the Shallow Subsidy Program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2 years experience in affordable housing services.
• 1 year experience with homeless people with mental illness or substance use issues.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid California Class C Driver License.
• Criminal background check required.
• Driving within LA County required.
• Driving test and MVR check required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly/monthly staff meetings.
• Conduct initial assessment to determine client needs.
• Create a Housing stability plan with client.
• Coordinate goal related services and monitor housing stability.
• Track and document participant progress through case management.
• Maintain relationships with landlords and property management.
• Conduct annual habitability inspections of housing units.
• Submit check requests for property management monthly.
• Provide tenant education on rights and responsibilities.
