Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking an Interim Subsidy Case Manager for the Shallow Subsidy Program. You will provide transitional support and case management to Permanently Housed participants while collaborating with landlords to mediate tenancy issues and ensure successful tenancies.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop housing stability plans, document progress, and coordinate services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• At least 2 years of experience working with affordable housing services.
• At least 1 year of experience with homeless people who have mental illness and/or substance use issues.

Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly/monthly staff meetings and CIS meetings as needed.
• Create a Housing stability plan with client and document financial independence.
• Coordinate goal-related services and monitor housing stability.
• Establish and maintain relationships with landlords and property management.
• Perform annual habitability inspections and quarterly/annual recertifications.
• Maintain HMIS data and support Housing First, Harm Reduction, and trauma-informed care.
