Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern CA Division is seeking an Interim Subsidy Case Manager in Gardena, CA to provide transitional support and case management within the Shallow Subsidy Program. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assist Permanently Housed participants and coordinate with landlords to ensure stable tenancies.

The role requires collaboration with care teams, housing services, and local agencies; duties include assessments, progress tracking, and annual recertifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• At least 2 years of experience working with affordable housing services.
• At least 1 year of experience working with homeless people who have mental illness and/or substance use issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide transitional support and case management to Permanently Housed participants.
• Collaborate with landlords to mediate landlord-tenant issues and ensure successful tenancies.
• Record and maintain participant information in HMIS using GIRP; track progress and prepare certifications.
