Job summary

The People Concern seeks a Case Manager to provide intensive, client-centered case management at our Samoshel interim housing site in Santa Monica. You will coordinate services, advocate for housing stability, and maintain confidentiality while supporting clients toward permanent housing.

Onsite work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a focus on wrap-around services and community resource connections. Experience with homelessness and strong Microsoft Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in case management.
• Valid CA Driver's license and reliable auto insurance with acceptable driving record.
• Experience with at-risk or homeless populations preferred.
• Skilled in non-violent crisis intervention.
• Ability to self-motivate and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; computer skills may be tested.

Responsibilities

• Serve a caseload of approximately 20–25 clients with active case management.
• Lead housing-related case management and maintain individual housing plans.
• Navigate community resources to provide wrap-around services.
• Collaborate with clients to address barriers to housing and access benefits.
• Build trusting, client-centered relationships using motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care.
• Advocate for clients with shelters and other service providers.
• Facilitate intakes for interim housing and maintain progress documentation.
