Job summary

The People Concern is seeking a Housing Navigator in Los Angeles to support the Housing Stabilization and Coordinated Entry efforts. You will manage a caseload, assist clients in preparing housing applications, and coordinate with HMIS and housing partners to move people into permanent housing.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work in the field and office settings, reporting to the Program Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and one year of full-time experience with people experiencing homelessness or equivalent combination
• Knowledge of homeless social services and Coordinated Entry System
• Detail oriented with strong time management, organizational, written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Able to work with subcontractors, housing providers and community partners in a culturally competent manner
• Current CA Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of 20-25 clients to prepare housing interventions and secure leases
• Develop housing plans in collaboration with clients detailing housing needs
• Complete HMIS documentation and Coordinated Entry actions within required timelines
• Assist clients with obtaining identifications, Social Security cards, and housing-related documents
• Serve as the point of contact for permanent housing resource matching
• Identify housing resources and establish relationships with landlords and property managers
• Coordinate housing applications and move-in processes with clients and partners
