Qualifications

• Knowledge of housekeeping policies, especially safety and security.
• Basic math for financial reporting.
• Supervisory skills to manage the housekeeping operation.
• Ability to coordinate with other departments regarding housekeeping services.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, and handle discipline when appropriate.
• Direct housekeeping and laundry staff with clear instructions.
• Plan, organize, and monitor staff to meet quality assurance standards and inspect guest areas.
• Manage finances: budget, inventory, expenditures, wages, supplies; generate reports.
• Delegate workload to maximize production and guest satisfaction while controlling costs.
• Ensure proper usage and labeling of cleaning chemicals per safety program.
• Plan and conduct staff meetings and participate in related meetings.
• Evaluate furniture and decor; coordinate rehab projects as needed.
• Communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with staff.
• Maintain regular attendance and be available to work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
