Job summary

Residence Inn by Marriott/Buffalo-Downtown is seeking a qualified Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping department. This role ensures the overall cleanliness of the hotel, including guest rooms and public areas, and oversees the laundry operations.

The position requires at least three years in housekeeping with two years in supervision, plus computer knowledge of intranet and a property management system. A valid driver’s license is also required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; three years experience in housekeeping in a hotel or similar industry, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Computer knowledge including intranet and property management system (PMS).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure maximum service quality and overall hotel cleanliness.
• Supervise staff; interview, hire, train, evaluate, reward and discipline; plan and direct work, resolve issues.
• Foster a positive work environment and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
