Responsibilities

• Recruits, hires, and trains housekeeping staff; conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback.
• Develops systems for inspecting and managing quality of housekeeping and laundry services.
• Supervises work activities of housekeeping staff.
• Ensures adherence to quality standards by inspecting rooms, including deep cleans.
• Distributes keys and work assignments to staff.
• Addresses guest complaints regarding housekeeping service or equipment.
• Assists management in selecting housekeeping personnel.
• Assists management in ensuring efficient housekeeping procedures.
• Reports maintenance repairs and records them in the maintenance log.
• Completes follow-ups on vacant and occupied rooms.
• Assumes functions of Housekeeper as necessary.
• Takes control of lost and found items as appropriate.
• Oversees inspections of housekeeping and laundry activities to ensure procedures are followed and productivity objectives are met.
• Conducts training on safety, procedures, and service guidelines.
• Schedules staff work according to occupancy and productivity; monitors adherence.
• Prepares reports on room occupancy, payroll, and inventories for leadership oversight.
• Responds to guest requests and complaints, following up to ensure satisfaction.
• Investigates complaints and takes corrective actions.
• Maintains cost control for linen and cleaning supplies; oversees ordering and inventory.
