Job summary

Planes Moving and Storage is seeking an experienced Moving Team Crew Lead in Columbus, OH to oversee residential and corporate international relocations. You will direct moving Crews, ensure superior customer service, and maintain compliance with international shipping requirements while safely handling household goods throughout the move.

The role requires leadership of crews, pre-move walkthroughs, and strict adherence to safety and paperwork standards, with a competitive hourly compensation

Responsibilities

• Lead packing, loading, transportation, delivery, and unpacking operations for international household goods shipments.
• Serve as the on-site primary contact to ensure moves are completed safely, efficiently, and to customer expectations.
• Lead and supervise moving crew members on international assignments.
• Conduct pre-move walkthroughs with customers and address questions or concerns.
• Ensure proper packing, crating, inventorying, loading, and securing household goods for international transport.
• Maintain accuracy of inventories, shipping documents, and related paperwork.
• Train and mentor crew members on best practices and safety procedures.
• Assist with truck inspections and equipment accountability.
• Communicate professionally with customers, operations personnel, and management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Safely lift, carry, and move furniture, cartons, and household goods.

The Role:

Planes Moving & Storage is a leading household goods relocation and storage company dedicated to providing exceptional moving, storage, and logistics services. We are seeking an experienced Moving Team Crew Lead to oversee residential and corporate international relocations. This leadership role is responsible for directing moving Crews, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining compliance with international shipping requirements, and safely handling customers' household goods throughout the moving process.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise moving crew members on international moving assignments
• Conduct pre-move walkthroughs with customers and address questions or concerns.

Required:

• Previous International Moving experience
• 2+ years of Crew Lead or Moving Supervisor experience
• High School Diploma GED
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
