Job summary

Extended Stay America is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support the General Manager in daily hotel operations in Los Angeles. The AGM will lead hourly staff, organize scheduling, training, and ensure exceptional guest and associate satisfaction, while upholding safety and company standards.

The role requires hands-on supervision, onboarding, and collaboration with management to drive revenue, control costs, and meet EBITDA targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience supervising hotel/retail staff preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of 8–15 hourly staff.
• Ensure onboarding and training completion.
• Promote safety and adherence to company policies.
• Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist in budgeting, labor control, and revenue initiatives.
• Represent hotel in GM/MUGM absence and oversee daily operations.
