Job summary

Stonebridge in New Orleans is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing hotel operations, with emphasis on front-of-house and housekeeping. You will help ensure guest satisfaction and maintain financial performance in line with company standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of hotel management experience, strong knowledge of revenue management, budgeting, and MS Office, and the ability to lead and train staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Business, or related field; equivalent experience may be acceptable.
• 3–5 years of hotel management experience, preferably in front-of-house or rooms division.
• Strong knowledge of revenue management, financial analysis, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in property management systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage staff and guest interactions.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and adjust strategies to improve performance.
• Experience in recruitment, staff training, and performance management.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel operations with focus on front-of-house and housekeeping.
• Provide market analysis and local event forecasts to optimize occupancy and rates.
• Support sales by ensuring front office and reservations teams understand rate structures and yield management.
• Train front desk staff on front office operations, revenue management tasks, and guest services protocols.
• Assist in preparing the annual budget and forecasting changes in expenses and labor costs.
• Adjust controllable expenses based on monthly revenue forecasts to maintain margins.
• Administer cash handling, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Train staff to deliver guest services per company standards and handle guest complaints.
