Job summary

Residence Inn Boston Downtown/South End, part of Colwen Hotels, seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead daily hotel operations and guest service excellence. This role requires hands-on leadership across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Maintenance, with a focus on staff development and achieving service standards.

The ideal candidate will drive guest satisfaction, oversee recruitment, and support budgeting and profitability while maintaining a positive, collaborative work

Qualifications

• 3+ years hotel management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated passion for hospitality and service.
• Attention to detail and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance).
• Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, and ongoing evaluation of associates.
• Assist in budget controls and profitability of assigned hotel(s).
• Provide ongoing training to staff on service standards.
• Foster a professional, respectful, and engaging work environment.
