Job summary

Lightwell Hotel & Spa in Hood River, OR seeks an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager on property-wide operations and guest satisfaction. You will balance strategic leadership with hands-on direction across guest services, rooms, spa, events, and F&B outlets.

You will coach teams, optimize labor and budgets, and collaborate on sales to improve occupancy and ADR. This role requires strong communication and a proven track record in hospitality management.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hotel or hospitality management experience.
• Experience with operational ordering and team leadership (4–5 years).
• Proven track record in financial accountability (P&L, budgets) and careful operational execution.

Responsibilities

• Direct hotel operations across all guest-facing departments and uphold brand standards.
• Monitor guest feedback and online reviews to sustain top property ratings.
• Provide on-the-floor coaching, feedback, and development to build a high-performing team.
• Oversee spa and wellness amenities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, staffing, and scheduling.
• Review property P&L, manage labor standards, and prepare operational budgets.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate staff; design cross-trained labor schedules to control costs.
• Support sales initiatives to drive occupancy and ADR; coach upsells for rooms, spa, and packages.
• Direct food & beverage SOPs, inventory levels, purchasing, and vendor negotiations.
