Job summary

HGI HOMEWOOD SUITES is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading day-to-day select-service hotel operations. The role emphasizes guest service, front desk oversight, housekeeping coordination, and food-service elements where applicable.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years in progressively responsible hotel operations with supervisory experience.
• Experience with front office, housekeeping, guest service and property operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with daily hotel operations, business planning, service standards, financial performance and brand requirements.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and provide hands-on operational coverage at the front desk and in other departments when needed.
• Lead, coach, schedule, and support front desk, housekeeping, breakfast/food-service, maintenance and other staff.
• Participate in recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.
• Monitor occupancy, guest requests, loyalty recognition, groups and special situations for smooth guest experience.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities and safety concerns; oversee or support food-service operations where applicable.
• Prepare and review schedules and staffing plans; review reports and operating metrics.
