Job summary

HHM Hotels in Novi, Michigan is seeking an Assistant General Manager to supervise hotel departments and oversee daily operations. You will lead interviewing, training, scheduling, coaching and supporting associates to meet brand and hotel standards.

In collaboration with the GM, you’ll help forecast and monitor budgets, maximize revenue, monitor guest satisfaction, resolve issues, oversee payroll and internal audits, and work with sales to boost occupancy and revenue.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of overall hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates to standards.
• Oversee hotel departments to ensure top service and hospitality.
• Assist in forecasts and budgets to maximize revenue and control costs.
• Maintain guest satisfaction by monitoring brand standards and guest feedback.
• Resolve customer complaints and anticipate operational issues.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, cash handling, and tax functions.
• Coordinate payroll with corporate accounting.
• Oversee internal audit standards.
• Collaborate with sales to improve occupancy and revenue.
• Monitor front office systems and equipment for optimum performance.
