Job summary

The Hampton Inn Austin/Airport Area South is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily operations and guest services, reporting to the General Manager. You will lead staff, monitor service standards, and help manage budgets to drive occupancy and revenue.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in Hospitality or related field, at least 3 years in hospitality with 1 year in management, and strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in hospitality with at least 1 year in a managerial role preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in planning, directing, and coordinating hotel operations.
• Supervise and manage staff to ensure optimal performance and policy adherence.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, address complaints, and implement service improvements.
• Collaborate with department heads for seamless daily operations.
• Participate in budgeting and financial planning, monitoring expenses and revenue.
• Support marketing/promotional strategies to increase occupancy and revenue.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and staff development.
• Analyze operational data to identify improvements and implement solutions.
• Represent the hotel at community and industry events.
