Job summary

Raines Co. seeks an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily hotel operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and lead front office and related departments.

The role emphasizes staff leadership, policy enforcement, training, and hands-on support in revenue, reservations, and guest services while maintaining financial controls and a safe environment for guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Prior Assistant General Manager, Front Office Manager, or Operations Manager experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 or similar applications.
• Experience with brand PMS and POS systems.
• Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and staff assignments; assist GM in departmental strategies and goals.
• Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
• Suggest HR actions per company rules; alert GM of issues.
• Ensure staff are trained and have necessary tools.
• Supervise staff across departments as needed.
• Utilize company tools and systems consistently.
• Provide hands-on support for front office operations.
• Manage accounts receivable and weekly invoices; follow up on payments.
• Oversee front office, revenue, reservations to ensure customer service and security of money and data.
• Maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Respond to guest inquiries and complaints; report incidents to HR/insurance.
• Maintain HR functions for employee relations, wages, benefits, training, and compliance.
• Recommend capital improvements to enhance assets and brand loyalty.
