Job summary

Nbutexas is seeking an hands-on Assistant General Manager to support daily operations at a full-service hotel in Southfield, MI. You will partner with the General Manager to drive operational excellence, lead teams across departments, and deliver outstanding guest and employee experiences.

Responsibilities include managing Front Office, Housekeeping, and F&B operations, coaching leaders, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. A flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hotel management or supervisory experience in a full-service environment.
• Strong operational knowledge across hotel departments.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Support daily hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and lead service recovery efforts.
• Coach, develop, and engage department leaders and hourly teams.
• Assist with labor management, scheduling, forecasting, and cost control.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and implement service improvements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Maintenance, and Revenue teams.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Prepare reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Step in for the General Manager as needed.
