Job summary

Hotel Management and Consulting, Inc. seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead operations in the GM’s absence and elevate service standards.

You will train and guide staff, manage front desk and back-of-house operations, and collaborate with the GM on guest satisfaction, housekeeping, and sales initiatives to boost occupancy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in hotel leadership, including front desk and back-of-house operations.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong team building skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proactive in solving problems.
• Willing to work a changing schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train staff; attend and guide staff huddles, providing hands-on support.
• Post checks in PMS, manage weekly labor tracker, and payment reports.
• Maintain high guest readiness and address guest concerns; follow up on feedback.
• Assign rooms and assist GM with inspections.
• Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and drive sales/marketing to boost occupancy.
• Flexible coverage of shifts to ensure operational continuity.
• Follow property emergency procedures and ensure security.
• Support housekeeping and laundry as needed.
