Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking an Assistant General Manager to supervise hotel departments and oversee daily operations in Dauphin County, PA. You will lead guest service initiatives, manage staff, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts to maximize revenue and control costs.

You will work closely with the General Manager to uphold brand standards, drive occupancy, and ensure safe, smooth operations across all hotel areas in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of overall hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and HHM core values.
• Oversee hotel departments to ensure an optimal level of service and hospitality are provided to hotel guests.
• Assist the GM in forecasting, reports, and in the development, implementation and monitoring of the budget to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and brand standards and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Resolve customer complaints and anticipate potential problems by reviewing and monitoring operational issues, business flow and associate performance.
• Oversee the property accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, house bank audits, petty cash, and tax; coordinate with corporate accounting on payroll.
• Oversee and ensure internal audit standards are met; interact with sales staff to discuss and implement sales strategies to improve occupancy and revenues.
• Monitor and maintain the front office systems and equipment for optimum performance; serve on the hotel's safety committee.
• Create specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely action plans to remedy guest service deficiencies.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
