Job summary

Valley Hospitality is seeking an Assistant/Operations Support professional to back up the Hotel General Manager and oversee daily hotel operations. The role includes hiring and training staff, enforcing safety and policy standards, handling deposits, and coordinating with Corporate on accounting matters.

The position requires 2-5 years in hospitality, strong communication, the ability to work under pressure, and a neat, professional appearance.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years hospitality experience required.
• Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager.
• Assist with interviews, hiring and on-site training for new employees.
• Maintain a compliant, safe, secure, and healthy environment by enforcing policies and procedures.
• Ensure deposits are made daily when the manager is absent (excluding weekends).
• Forward accounting information weekly to Corporate with supporting documents.
• Lead monthly department meetings and address staff questions.
• Manage Front Desk Agents and assist with staffing schedules for all departments.
• Oversee guest and employee incidents and follow up as needed.
• Attend required meetings and assist with tip reporting and other duties from Management.
