Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking an Assistant General Manager to assist the General Manager in overseeing hotel operations and maintaining revenue, cost and quality standards. The role involves supervising departments, achieving budgets, and driving guest satisfaction with a strong emphasis on services and leadership within the hotel and community.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1–2 years of hotel experience, plus solid financial literacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in hotel or related field required.
• 1-2 years of hotel experience preferred.
• Strong financial knowledge required.
• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and possess basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Generates projected revenue levels through supervision of assigned departments and guest satisfaction.
• Participates in development of short term and long term financial and operational plans for the hotel.
• Remains current on business trends and local activities.
• Meets assigned departmental budgets and monitors financial statements.
• Establishes and maintains community involvement.
• Ensures proper handling of guest complaints.
• Assists in development of programs that increase guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Knows and complies with company policies and procedures for this position.
• Ensures cross-selling of other Shamin Hotels by hotel staff.
• Teaching, mentoring, and directing hotel staff.
