Job summary

Extended Stay America in Tallahassee is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure property equipment functions and guest rooms stay in good repair. You will follow the Green Shield Binder, complete tasks promptly, and coordinate with management and vendors to maintain safety and cleanliness.

You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to guest requests, assist with cleaning duties as needed, and uphold ESA safety standards across all areas of the property.

Qualifications

• Read and speak English proficiently and interact with guests, associates and outside vendors.
• Understand and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and company guidelines and standards.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Use units of measurement for weight, volume and distance.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• Assist with resolving guest issues in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates.
• Works with minimal supervision while performing all essential duties to satisfaction and within company standards.
• Responds to and assists with all guest requests with diligent follow-through in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
• Performs the out of room cleaning to ensure premises are pristine, including trash removal and maintaining building interiors and exteriors.
• Performs repairs listed on work orders and follows the work order process; repairs must be timely and professional.
• Completes preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as outlined in internal policy.
• Follows the Green Shield Inspection schedule daily to accomplish tasks timely and in accordance with standards.
• Maintains records such as PM deficiencies and inspections; logs and safety records per policy.
