Extended Stay America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure all property equipment works correctly and guest rooms are well-maintained. The role emphasizes completing tasks on schedule, following Green Shield Binder procedures, and maintaining safety standards across building systems.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, basic repairs, preventive maintenance, and coordination with vendors as needed. A strong commitment to guest experience and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Provide the best possible experience for guests and associates.
• Perform essential duties with minimal supervision to company standards.
• Respond to guest requests with diligent follow-through according to guidelines.
• Out-of-room cleaning to keep premises pristine (trash, interiors, exteriors, walkways, snow/ice removal where applicable).
• Perform repairs listed on work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Follow Green Shield schedule and SOPs to complete tasks per standards.
• Maintain records (PMs, inspections, life safety, elevator logs).
• Keep maintenance areas organized and tools safeguarded.
• Maintain boiler, electrical, HVAC, fire sprinkler rooms per standards.
• Ensure fire safety equipment is operational and inspections current.
• Comply with ESA safety and security policies (OSHA/ADA).
• Assist with pool/spa maintenance as applicable and local ordinances.
• Assist with emergencies as directed by management.
• Monitor and follow up with outside vendors when directed.
