Job summary

Extended Stay America in Tampa, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician who will ensure guest rooms and property are in good repair and all equipment functions properly. You will perform preventive maintenance, address work orders, and support safety compliance per Green Shield Binder.

Qualifications

• Read and speak English proficiently and interact with guests, associates and outside vendors.
• Understand and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and company guidelines and standards.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Use units of measurement for weight, volume and distance.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• Assist with resolving guest issues in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests with diligent follow-through per guidelines.
• Perform out-of-room cleaning to maintain pristine premises including trash, interiors, exteriors, and grounds.
• Perform repairs listed on work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete preventive maintenance inspections and repairs per Green Shield Binder.
• Follow Green Shield Inspection schedule daily and maintain records.
• Maintain organized maintenance area and tool inventory.
• Ensure safety equipment inspections are current and compliant.
• Assist with maintenance of pool/spa where applicable.
• Support emergencies at property or sister locations as needed.
• Monitor external vendors when directed by management.
