Job summary

Extended Stay America in Memphis is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure all property equipment functions properly and guest rooms are maintained in pristine condition.

The role involves performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and following Green Shield SOPs, while coordinating with management and outside vendors to uphold ESA standards and deliver a superior guest experience.

Qualifications

• Read and speak English proficiently.
• Understand and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and company guidelines.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Use units of measurement for weight, volume and distance.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• Assist with resolving guest issues in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to guest/associate experience.
• Works with minimal supervision performing duties to satisfaction and within standards.
• Responds to guest requests with diligent follow-through per guidelines.
• Performs out-of-room cleaning and maintenance to keep premises pristine.
• Performs repairs listed on work orders and completes them promptly.
• Performs preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as outlined.
• Follows the Green Shield Inspection schedule to accomplish tasks timely.
• Maintains records including PM deficiencies, inspections, and logs.
• Keeps maintenance areas organized and tools in good condition.
• Maintains boiler, electric, HVAC, and fire safety rooms per standards.
