Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and perform preventive maintenance across hotel systems and facilities. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and timely repairs to ensure a clean, safe, and operational property.

The ideal candidate will work well independently or with a team, prioritize tasks, and report issues promptly. Flexible scheduling may be required to support hotel operations and guest service excellence.

Qualifications

• General maintenance and preventative tasks throughout hotel facilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Identify and report issues promptly to prevent larger problems.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and hotel procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and preventative maintenance across hotel areas.
• Complete PM inspections and tasks to extend equipment life.
• Identify concerns during inspections and address or report them.
• Repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, and other systems as needed.
• Maintain safe engineering spaces and tool storage.
• Assist with snow removal and exterior property maintenance when required.
• Document maintenance logs and shift reports for management.
