Island Hospitality Management in Springfield, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on hotel systems and equipment. You will help keep guest areas and facilities clean, safe, and operational.

The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team. You will follow safety guidelines, address issues promptly, and support property upkeep and improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum commitment to safety and hotel standards.
• Ability to perform general cleaning, PM inspections, and basic repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and report hazards.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including mechanical and engineering areas, equipment, fixtures, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and tasks to extend equipment life.
• Identify maintenance concerns during routine inspections and address or report issues promptly.
• Identify safety hazards and notify supervisors of damages or unsafe conditions.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain and repair pool and fitness equipment as needed.
• Maintain clean and safe engineering workspaces and stock areas.
• Coordinate with the Chief Engineer on prioritizing projects and respond to requests from hotel departments.
