Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, perform preventive maintenance, and keep hotel facilities clean and safe. You will maintain equipment, supervise tasks with the Chief Engineer, and respond quickly to maintenance requests to ensure smooth hotel operations.

The role requires independent work or teamwork, prioritization, and strict adherence to safety guidelines. Flexible scheduling may be required to support hotel needs.

Qualifications

• General cleaning and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel
• Complete scheduled PM inspections and tasks
• Identify maintenance concerns and report issues early
• Report safety hazards and notify supervisors
• Carry out plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet, tile, and general maintenance
• Paint and exterior maintenance projects as assigned
• Maintain pool and fitness equipment
• Maintain clean engineering workspaces and tools
• Stock maintenance supplies and report shortages
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer to prioritize projects
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly
• Complete work orders and PM tasks on time
• Prepare maintenance logs and reports
• Assist with inclement weather exterior maintenance
• Follow all safety procedures

Responsibilities
