Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain a range of hotel systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will work well in teams or alone, following health and safety guidelines to keep buildings and common areas in excellent condition.

This role may require flexible scheduling. The technician will assist in preventative maintenance, manage basic repairs, and support the Chief Engineer and management on technical projects.

Qualifications

• Must be able to recognize, report, and correct potential safety hazards and notify supervisors of damages or hazards.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile floor maintenance and repairs.
• Paint, minor roof repairs and other exterior projects.
• Repair pool and exercise room equipment if necessary.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs.
• Check stock levels of consumables and replace as needed.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and Management to complete technical projects.
• Prepare shift reports for management.
• Report for exterior maintenance in bad weather as required.
