Driftwood Hospitality Management’s Miami property seeks a maintenance engineer to handle preventive and repair of mechanical/electrical systems, pool care, and grounds upkeep. Shifts may vary due to 24/7 hotel operations.

Ideal candidates know HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and safety procedures; high school diploma preferred; good communication with guests and team members is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical/electrical malfunctions.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair hotel mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing).
• Perform preventive maintenance on a schedule (room care).
• Service pool and maintain chemicals and filters; log requests.
• Maintain exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Follow safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor.
• Assist other engineering staff as needed.
