Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality seeks an Assistant Maintenance Engineer to maintain hotel operations, from plumbing to pool maintenance. You will report to the General Manager and Chief Engineer, delivering high-quality work with guest comfort in mind.

The role requires hands-on trades experience and strong safety practices. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in maintenance, can communicate tasks to management, and are capable of walking and lifting up to 50 pounds in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ minimum experience in a maintenance-type position.
• Experience in hotel or apartment environments preferred.
• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, climb stairs or ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and monitor interior and exterior area operations.
• Follow safety protocols when using tools and equipment; store tools properly.
• Train others in engineering skills as needed.
• Be the point of contact for maintenance concerns in the absence of the Chief Maintenance Engineer.
• Interact with employees and guests with proficient communication.
