Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality seeks an Assistant Maintenance Engineer to ensure the proper operation of the hotel, from plumbing and electrical systems to HVAC and pool maintenance. Reporting to the General Manager and Chief Engineer, you will perform maintenance tasks with minimal guest disruption and uphold the company’s Guiding Principles.

The role requires experience in construction trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, basic heating and air conditioning, swimming pool maintenance,

Qualifications

• 3 years’ minimum experience in a maintenance-type position, preferably in a hotel or apartment environment.
• Ability to communicate operational activities, priorities, and problems with management engineers and supervisors.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance methods and techniques for maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks in interior and exterior areas of the property.
• Repair and replace basic heating and air conditioner systems.
• Perform basic painting and caulking skills.
• Follow safety protocols when using tools and equipment and keep areas organized.
