Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee and perform maintenance across the hotel’s physical plant, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool, and life safety systems. The role requires coordinating with the General Manager and AGM, supervising maintenance staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction while protecting owner assets.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a lead maintenance role with hotel experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to train and develop

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a lead maintenance role
• Experience in hotel maintenance preferred
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance methods

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the hotel's physical plant
• Lead maintenance team and coordinate with GM/AGM
• Inspect interior and exterior property areas regularly
• Schedule maintenance to avoid guest disruption
• Train and coach maintenance staff
• Manage contractors and external service providers
• Ensure safety and compliance with regulations
• Monitor and manage maintenance budgets
