Job summary

McKibbon Hotel Group seeks a General Maintenance Technician to support the Chief Engineer in maintaining hotel operations. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool care, painting and caulking, ensuring safety and guest comfort at all times.

Requirements include 3+ years in maintenance, ability to communicate with management, and knowledge of preventive maintenance. Previous hotel experience is highly desired; lifting up to 50 lbs and outdoor/indoor work are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance-type experience.
• Ability to communicate operational activities and problems with management engineers and supervisors.
• Knowledge of common causes of equipment malfunction.
• Ability to repair and replace basic heating and air conditioning systems.
• Skills to perform basic painting and caulking.
• Ability to use standard hand tools (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.).
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance methods for equipment.
• Ability to test normal operation of hotel equipment.
• Knowledge of pool and spa chemical testing.
• Knowledge of fire equipment handling.
• Experience in construction trades (highly desired).
• Previous hotel experience (highly desired).
• Ability to perform maintenance tasks including stairs, 10,000+ steps daily, power tools, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Kneel, stand, and work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions; access high or confined spaces as needed.
