Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Steward to join our culinary team. You will clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, the kitchen and other kitchen equipment, following our time, product and placement standards to ensure total guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include operating the dish machine, cleaning the kitchen and food preparation areas, sweeping and mopping floors, collecting trash, and supporting the Employee Cafeteria as directed by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food service or hotel kitchen is helpful.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate dish machine, clean and sanitize pots and pans, china, glassware, flatware, kitchen equipment, and other utensils.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Sweep and mop all kitchen floors and other assigned areas.
• Collect and empty trash from designated areas.
• Service food for the Employee Cafeteria as specified by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
• Store all clean china, glass, and silver to its proper storage location using care to minimize breakage.
• Adhere to established safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
• Perform other duties or projects as requested by management.
