Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Palmdale is seeking a General Manager to drive profitability, guest satisfaction, and team development for a Residence Inn Palmdale property. You will lead daily operations, manage departments, and collaborate with Sales leadership to grow revenue.

The role focuses on budgeting, staff training, and ensuring Highgate standards across all areas of the hotel to maximize asset value and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 4-year college degree with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Light work with occasional lifting up to 20 lbs and up to 10 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations and department heads; adjust as needed.
• Lead weekly staff meetings and trainings according to Highgate standards.
• Ensure financial reviews are conducted monthly with department managers and supervisors.
• Forecast and manage monthly revenue and expenses to optimize profitability.
• Conduct interviews and hire according to SOPs; train and develop managers.
• Drive hotel sales efforts, visit top accounts, host events and meetings with clients.
• Ensure compliance with all Highgate policies and budget procedures.
