Job summary

J&P Hospitality Management, LLC is seeking a General Manager to lead the hotel’s daily operations, drive sales and revenue, and oversee staffing, guest service, and compliance on-site. You will partner with sales and revenue teams to optimize pricing and market strategy.

The GM will manage a team of 8+ staff, ensure high guest satisfaction, and maintain brand standards while adhering to budgets and GOP targets. A strong leadership background and hospitality experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of General Manager experience.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Familiar with local, state, and federal employment laws and basic HR practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English; bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the hotel according to the business plan and budget, with a strong focus on room sales.
• Deliver consistent sales growth and revenue performance by leading property-level sales initiatives.
• Execute company sales programs and ensure measurable participation and results from staff.
• Work with the Regional Director of Sales to implement market-level strategies and drive business-to-business sales.
• Partner with the Revenue Manager to optimize rates, inventory, and pricing decisions.
• Achieve and exceed GOP targets compared to budget, last year, and comp sets.
• Review performance reports and adjust strategies to stay competitive.
• Recruit, hire, and train quality staff to build a strong team and ensure sales-minded service.
