Job summary

Extended Stay America in Naperville seeks a General Manager to oversee hotel operations, guest satisfaction, and financial performance. You will lead associates, ensure brand standards, and drive a positive workplace culture. The role emphasizes coaching, budgeting, and continuous improvement across all departments.

Responsibilities include recruiting and onboarding, supervising daily operations, and maintaining service quality to meet guest expectations and company goals.

Qualifications

• Associates degree, at least 4 years of outside sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in complex sales; or the equivalent combination of the two.
• Must be pro-active and knowledgeable of creative sales activities and client interactions.
• Flexible schedule to include infrequent evening and/or weekend meetings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction targets and manage overall customer experience.
• Lead property associates and uphold Extended Stay America brand standards.
• Recruit, interview, screen, reference check, and hire staff.
• Onboard and train associates including ESA University courses.
• Drive a positive work environment and coach staff to improve performance.
• Manage labor, purchasing, and budget in line with company policies.
• Oversee weekly/monthly meetings and ensure tools and supplies are available.
• Monitor guest experience and respond to postings or issues on social media.
