Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Key West is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Director of Finance and Assistant Director in maintaining accurate financial reporting and internal controls for a busy resort.

You will focus on payroll processing, income audit, accounts receivable, and daily revenue reconciliation, while ensuring compliance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements, delivering timely financial information for management decisions.

Qualifications

• College courses in an associated or related field and/or related experience in a Hotel or Hospitality environment.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Accounts Receivable and Payroll experience is preferred.
• Opera PMS is preferred.
• Flexible and long hours may be required, especially month-end.
• Must communicate well verbally and in writing with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, prepare, and communicate financial reports by due dates.
• Income Audit and daily data entry into BiPortal.
• Process payroll and input payroll journals.
• Maintain daily Accounts Receivable, billing, and collections.
• Reconcile invoices against ledgers and assist monthly close.
• Support guest satisfaction by resolving issues with Finance leadership.
