Job summary

Highgate Hotels, a leading real estate investment and hospitality company, seeks a Staff Accountant in Key West to support the Director and Assistant Director of Finance. You will focus on payroll, income audit, accounts receivable, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with regulations and Highgate standards.

You will liaise with the Sales and Events teams and participate in monthly closings, reporting, and cross-training within accounting to maintain efficient operations.

Qualifications

• College courses in an associated or related field and/or related experience in a Hotel or Hospitality environment.
• Must be proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office (Intermediate Excel and Basic Word).
• Accounts Receivable and Payroll experience is preferred.
• Hotel PMS Opera is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, prepare, and communicate financial reports by due dates.
• Enter income audit data into BiPortal daily.
• Process payroll using time and attendance systems weekly.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and manage AR collections.
• Reconcile invoices and ledgers to ensure accurate billing.
