Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to assist the Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance in maintaining accurate financial reporting and internal controls for The Elser Hotel & Residences in Downtown Miami.

The role focuses on payroll management, income audit, and accounts receivable processing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Highgate standards.

Qualifications

• College courses in accounting or related field; hospitality experience preferred.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office; intermediate Excel.
• Accounts Receivable and Payroll experience preferred.
• Opera PMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and communicate financial reports by due dates.
• Process payroll and time/attendance data.
• Manage accounts receivable, billing, and collections.
• Update journals and assist monthly close.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOPs.
• Respond to guest and internal inquiries professionally.
