Job summary

Extended Stay America in Burbank, CA seeks a General Manager to lead hotel operations, drive guest satisfaction, and manage financial performance. You will oversee daily front- and back-of-house activities, ensure brand standards, recruit and train staff, and maintain a positive, productive workplace culture.

The role requires strong leadership, focus on guest experience, and ability to optimize revenue and operating costs in a hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years related hospitality management experience.
• Customer experience required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle check.
• Conversational or proficient in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates commitment to providing the best possible guest experience.
• Resolve guest issues in line with company goals.
• Maintain highest cleanliness standards and brand compliance; ensure rooms and public areas are ready.
• Conduct daily room and Guest Ready inspections.
• Recruit, interview, screen, and hire staff following procedures.
• Onboard and train new associates on ESA programs and University course compliance.
• Lead and motivate team; coach and enforce policies.
• Hold daily team meetings to discuss updates and hotel needs.
• Provide tools and supplies to staff; manage budgets and purchasing within vendor guidelines.
• Manage cash and guest balances; ensure payment collection per policy.
• Generate lead opportunities through guest interactions and in-house data.
• Ensure ESA standards and policy compliance at the property.
• Complete bank deposits and competitive surveillance.
• Oversee environment, safety, and quality controls; manage labor costs and streamline operations.
• Direct supervision of an Assistant General Manager / Team Leader.
