Job summary

Montage International seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the maintenance and operation of resort facilities in Florida. You will manage budgets, capital projects, and energy conservation while upholding corporate standards and regulatory requirements.

You will oversee communications with stakeholders, implement best practices, and direct technology plans (CMMS, BAS, lighting controls). Strong HVAC, electrical, and general maintenance knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a facilities engineering leadership role in a hotel/resort.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Property Management, or similar preferred and/or significant relevant experience.
• Extensive project management experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance skills.
• Must be strategic with strong business acumen. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engineering communications to internal and external stakeholders (Corporate Director of Engineering, Engineering Associates, General Associate Body, Managers, Executive Team, Asset Owner, Homeowner Association, Master Association, Residential Owners).
• Review and measure performance metrics for Engineering services; develop and implement best practices and guest service standards.
• Direct and manage facility management technologies (CMMS, BAS, Lighting Controls) and oversee technology plans.
• Oversee facility operations and maintenance, including contracting, buy/build decisions, and energy conservation.
• Manage the Engineering department budget, capital expenditures, and financial reporting; develop business cases and contracts.
• Support emergency planning, safety, and security in partnership with related departments.
• Plan and manage projects (construction, renovation, and organizational change) and evaluate outcomes.
• Lead sustainability initiatives and environmental programs; monitor utility consumption and LEED knowledge.
